Thank you!! Can I bug you to ask which Mac application you're using to join the flv files and encode? I've been looking around for something but haven't found anything that a majority of users thought was acceptable. =/

It took me til like 5 am one day, but I ended up finding a cracked copy of iSkysoft iMedia converter on piratebay....I think there are some others, and this is an older version but it works pretty well and didn't take long to figure out....
